Tickled Pink!

We are now on our way to plan the nursery! Over the past few months, I have spent numerous hours searching the web for just the right bedding. It was fun looking at patterns for boys and girls. Since we found out we were having a girl, we have been thinking "pink!" With pink on the brain, I began my search for the perfect bedding. Well, that was easier said than done. When I looked at the bedding at the more popular stores (Babies R Us, Target, etc.) nothing seemed to pop out. One day I came across this pattern and I knew it was the one. Here are some picture of the bedding and fabric.

This fabric is located on the top edge of the crib bumper between the pink piping

We realized we were going to have to paint the nursery walls. The walls are currently a dark sage green color. Tim requested one thing when it came to the nursery: please do not paint the walls pink. That was an easy request to fulfill...the last thing I wanted was to have the nursery look like it was hosed down in Pepto Bismol! We grabbed some paint swatches at the Home Depot and matched them to the nursery bedding. The funny thing is is we are going to paint the walls green!! And to top things off, the color is called "Sage Sweater!" Even though the existing paint color and the new paint color are sage green, there is a drastic difference between the two. The picture of the paint swatch below really does not do the color any justice...it looks kinda of blah (washed out). The paint color matches the darker green in the crib bedding and it really pops when it is next to the bedding!

We are excited to have one thing check off of our "Things to Buy for the Nursery" list. We have a ways to go to get ready for our lil' sweet pea to arrive. Stay tuned for updates...
